We Want You to Love What You Ordered

Here at The Leather Hawk, we put a lot into every jacket:  the cut, the leather, the stitching, and the finish. But we also know that buying a jacket online isn’t always straightforward. Sizing can be tricky. The color might look slightly different on your screen. Sometimes things just don’t work out.

That’s why we’ve kept this return policy simple and fair. If something’s not right, we’ll sort it out. No runaround, no drama.

What Can Be Returned

We accept returns on most orders within 30 days of the delivery date. To be eligible, the jacket needs to be:

  •  Unworn and in the same condition it arrived in

  • Still carrying its original tags

  •  Packed in its original box or bag

  • Accompanied by your order number or receipt

We inspect every return when it comes in. If a jacket shows clear signs of wear scuffs, stretched leather, or lingering cologne, we may not be able to process the return. We think that’s fair, and we’re guessing you do too.

How to Send Something Back

Starting a return takes about two minutes. Here’s what to do:

1.      Drop us an email at returns@theleatherhawk.com with your order number and a quick note about why you’re returning.

2.      We’ll get back to you within one to two business days with a return authorization and the address to send the jacket to.

3.      Pack the jacket carefully, ideally in the original box. Leather doesn’t love being squashed into a thin poly mailer for a few days.

4.      Please return the item and retain the tracking number until your refund is processed.

Return shipping is on you unless the jacket arrived damaged or we were mistaken about your order. In those cases, we’ll cover it entirely.

How Refunds Work

Once your return lands with us and passes inspection, you’ll get a confirmation email. From there, the refund goes back to whatever payment method you used, usually within 5 to 7 business days, though your bank’s processing time can add a day or two on top of that.

A couple of things worth knowing:

  • Original shipping charges aren’t refunded unless the return is due to our error.

  • If your order shipped free, a standard shipping fee may be deducted from your refund.

  • Sale items that qualify for return are refunded at the price you paid, not the original price.

What We Can’t Take Back

A few things fall outside our standard return policy for leather jackets:

  •  Custom or personalized jackets, monogrammed pieces, made-to-measure orders, and anything tailored specifically for you.

  •   Final sale items are marked as non-returnable at checkout.

  •  Jackets that have been worn, washed, or altered in any way.

  •  We do not accept returns without prior authorization from our team.

If you’re not sure whether your item qualifies, just email us before sending anything. We’d rather clarify upfront than have a package show up that we can’t process.

Need a Different Size or Style?

Exchanges are no problem. Just follow the same steps as a regular return and mention in your email that you’d like a swap instead of a refund. Let us know which size or style you’re after, and we’ll check stock right away.

Once we receive your original jacket and it clears inspection, we’ll ship the replacement out. If there’s a price difference between items, we’ll sort that out over email before anything gets dispatched.

Got a Damaged or Defective Jacket?

That’s on us, and we’ll fix it fast. If your jacket arrived with a defect or was damaged in transit, please reach out within 48 hours of delivery. Send an email to support@theleatherhawk.com with:

  •  Your order number

  • A short description of the issue

  •  A few clear photos showing the damage or defect

We’ll review it and come back to you quickly. Depending on the situation, we’ll either send a replacement or issue a full refund, including return shipping. You won’t be left out of pocket for something that wasn’t your fault.
